EEPS Colloquium: Kevin Zahnle
Xenon: Now more than ever
Xenon: Now more than ever

Noble gases play an outsized role in comparative planetology. Because they are volatile and chemically inert, they accumulate in the atmosphere, where they are accessible to spacecraft measurements. Moreover, noble gases often display big signals, both in abundance and in isotopic structures. Xenon, with 9 stable isotopes and a wealth of isotopic anomalies, is the King of the Nobility.
EEPS Colloquia are made possible by the William C. Ferguson Fund.
